kwestins for these humans...,

Why are you humans mesmerized by the lurid compelling pictures, the practical, pretend, and photoshopped other-worldliness of the demi-humans in the pantheon of celebrity?

What purpose is served by these larger, more perfect, and more colorful avatars that cycle above your  pedestrian peasant lives?

Is celebrity-worship a sign of the downfall of western civilization, or, more of the same augmented by new, pervasive, and not entirely understood cognitive distributive media?

Do celebrities serve the same purpose in fin d'siecle western culture as the pantheon of gods did in Greek and Roman culture and the saints did in Roman Catholic culture?

In America, entertainment is the opiate of the masses.
Mayweather-Pacquiao generated more than $500 million in revenue. It will not be the downfall of western civilization until people can break that addiction.

What people(s) have broken this collective function/addiction http://dopaminehegemony.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-science-of-craving.html and what effect has this had on their average level of humanity?

What people(s) have broken this collective function/addiction? No people, in my opinion have faced this particular challenge. As Glen Ford notes, a Black man as the symbolic head of the American empire is something people were totally unprepared for, and is still something many people don’t know how to respond to.

But Bro. Makheru, peeple have replaced, recycled, and syncretized their gods and saints like they were mix-ins at a yo-yoni yogurt bar from time immemorial?

I've been fasting for 72 hours every month for the past year. I guarantee that people who fast face this particular challenge.

Food deprivation accentuates intercessory preoccupation?

Especially that first day.

Some people that have tried it along with me also get headaches and "the shakes".

So what happens? You have E on the television so you can keep up with the Kardashians whilst browsing TMZ and E-Online? You crave these diversions because they distract you from hunger and food cravings?

I no longer have a TV. Such diversions are now easy for me to resist.

What "particular challenge" are you facing then? Cause last I checked, even when you're having a gut blowout on 7-11 ft long burritos and washing those joints down with a Mt. Dew big gulp, you're still facing the exact same challenge of a "black man as the symbolic face of empire".

I'm lost....,
