iq75 LOOZERZ gettin they way

Chicago Tribune |  Residents of Oregon, Alaska, and the nation's capital voted to legalize marijuana on Tuesday, in key victories that could fuel the legalization movement as cannabis usage is increasingly recognized by the American mainstream.

The Oregon and Alaska measures would legalize recreational pot use and usher in a network of retail pot shops similar to those operating in Washington state and Colorado, which in 2012 voted to become the first states to allow marijuana use for fun.

A less far-reaching proposal in the District of Columbia to allow marijuana possession but not retail sales won nearly 65 percent of the vote with all precincts reporting, unofficial results showed.

The referendums come amid shifts in American opinions on marijuana in recent years that have energized efforts to legalize cannabis, a drug that remains illegal under federal law even as Colorado and Washington state have been given the go-ahead to experiment with legalization.

If this scientific speculation is correct, one wonders if these people will be the salvation of the nation someday? You know, when the US finally loses global dominance is forced to become an amusement park like Great Britain? http://www.natureworldnews.com/articles/9688/20141017/mitochondria-were-parasites-before-they-were-powerhouses.htm

Hey, in that map, is Ohio extending a landfill pseudopod into NY? Or did they annex part of Lake Erie?

@Rohan....well how about this one ---- BD been tellin' Subrealism this genetic truth for years----> http://www.biznews.com/health/2014/11/06/born-bad-scientists-say-violent-criminality-may-genes/
...genetic realities.

rohan said...

Not to put too fine a point on it Dawn, but objectively speaking, the ability to survive and reproduce is the only thing that really matters - or don't you believe in genetic fitness?

Here come the white sheets...., http://youtu.be/mcx1MKuKlP8

BigDonOne said...

BD would definitely buy that part of the equation. But it's not the only thing. Each parent should know for certain who (and where) their biologic children in fact are, and those children should be properly nurtured in a strong stable family to survive and carry on the genetic heritage. That is equally important and requires an elevated degree of civilization. The 'Hood is littered with dead Baby Daddys. Did that unarmed 18yo gentle giant have any kids?

Or is the James Brown Syndrome ( 20,000 wild oats?? ) a better approach...??

lol, you believe just about every stupid, facetious thing you've ever been told, while rejecting mountains of factual information contrary to your racist pseudoscience.Brown’s many female friends would have been impressed. Murrell was the funkfather’s enabler when it came to women – Brown would fly them in, and Murrell would pick them up at the airport, sometimes several in a day. They wouldn’t always leave his home with a smile on their face, however. Apparently the R&B colossus was less than titanically gifted in the trouser department.

“You heard it correct,” replies Murrell, whom you can imagine shooting the breeze with Huggy Bear in Starsky and Hutch. “They [his girlfriends] used to tease him about that. They said it wouldn’t get hard and it was about the size of a pencil.”

Did they complain?

“Yeah!” he exclaims. “They wanna feel it!” He adds ruefully, “But his money made everybody stop complaining.”http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/nov/04/james-brown-chauffeur-william-murrell

Fitness in the face of the collapse will boil down to a handful of attributes. Initially, sociopaths, he-men, and those with social intelligence will be favored. After the third generation, only those with the above qualities, and a resistance to the mutagenetic effects of ionizing radiation will prevail. Beta followers will come and go, as they always have. Philosophers will become extinct.

Death will be mostly random since chance of survival will be based primarily on geography, not on skill set. Not a single person will survive trying to hold out in the major cities, but those in some parts of the country won't fare any better.

It's difficult to tell what skills could possibly be selected for in such a widespread collapse. It's not like a regular famine or plague, it's more like a meteor strike.

Next three hundred years or so will see a full reversion to hunter-gatherer lifestyles, tribal raiding and all, unless there's nuclear war, then all predictions go out the window.

Speed of descent depends on how fast oil supplies will fall, contingent partly on money, political stability, chance, etc. Collapse will probably be very uneven for a while but all humans will be back to hunter-gatherer lifestyles in less than 300 years.

@CNu...BD does not think it will become that grim. Worst case is large die-off, forests will regenerate and folks will live rural or small towns burning wood like in 1800's before oil was discovered and exploited. Probably a bit higher tech with some solar and wind powered light industry and agriculture-aquaculture. Folks who have the most to lose are those weak iq75 family lines with no skills, no knowledge, and have been living as multi-generational parasites.....

BD doesn't have a very clear understanding of what's in store - or for that matter - the now popularized via these interwebs views into how bad things become in collapsed societies, like the ones that the U.S. has collapsed over the past several years.
