are you ready for nuclear war?

paulcraigroberts |  Pay close attention to Steven Starr’s guest column, “The Lethality of Nuclear Weapons.” http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/05/30/lethality-nuclear-weapons/ Washington thinks nuclear war can be won and is planning for a first strike on Russia, and perhaps China, in order to prevent any challenge to Washington’s world hegemony.

The plan is far advanced, and the implementation of the plan is underway. As I have reported previously, US strategic doctrine was changed and the role of nuclear missiles was elevated from a retaliatory role to an offensive first strike role. US anti-ballistic missile (ABM) bases have been established in Poland on Russia’s frontier, and other bases are planned. When completed Russia will be ringed with US missile bases.

Anti-ballistic missiles, known as “star wars,” are weapons designed to intercept and destroy ICBMs. In Washington’s war doctrine, the US hits Russia with a first strike, and whatever retaliatory force Russia might have remaining is prevented from reaching the US by the shield of ABMs.

The reason Washington gave for the change in war doctrine is the possibility that terrorists might obtain a nuclear weapon with which to destroy an American city. This explanation is nonsensical. Terrorists are individuals or a group of individuals, not a country with a threatening military. To use nuclear weapons against terrorists would destroy far more than the terrorists and be pointless as a drone with a conventional missile would suffice.

The reason Washington gave for the ABM base in Poland is to protect Europe from Iranian ICBMs. Washington and every European government knows that Iran has no ICBMs and that Iran has not indicated any intent to attack Europe.

No government believes Washington’s reasons. Every government realizes that Washington’s reasons are feeble attempts to hide the fact that it is creating the capability on the ground to win a nuclear war.
The Russian government understands that the change in US war doctrine and the US ABM bases on its borders are directed at Russia and are indications that Washington plans a first strike with nuclear weapons on Russia.

China has also understood that Washington has similar intentions toward China. As I reported several months ago, in response to Washington’s threat China called the world’s attention to China’s ability to destroy the US should Washington initiate such a conflict.

You may want to read Eric Hoffer, just sayin.

Your understanding is like those who call themselves "liberals" when they do not believe in protecting individual freedom, which is what the word has meant for two hundred years. Neo-liberals are collectivists who seek to negate individual thought and action! The true-believer is one who will accept accept such gibberish as the collective must control the individual for is benefit, therefore it is good for him. Like I say, read Hoffer.

You can't just make up crap because it sounds like crap you heard in college. Also, you may want to have the title reflect the subject of the article. Just sayin'.

Umm. He did? If you click on the link at the very top, "EarlyWarning", it will take you to the website that actually hosts the whole article and not just this snippet. Notice the name of it.

Who are these liberals that don't believe in protecting individual freedom?

lol, awww..., buy-bull buddy victimology.

nah, what this is about is very simple. Leave the ethical, methodologically-correct, and value-free practice of science to the scientists - and content yourselves to arguing with like-minded others about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, how much oil to pour on peak-oil Jesus, and so forth..., you know, the type of non-falsifiable isht that is your typical breath-and-britches, stock-in-trade.

This Slenderman sounds like a ripoff of Aphex Twin from the 1990s. This 1997 video is the perfect example of the ripoff..everything being described to slenderman in the end..

If what passes for religion hadn't degenerated into simple-minded, exploitative drivel, we wouldn't be having any of these senseless apples v. oranges arguments. We also wouldn't be struggling so needlessly and foolishly with mysteries of consciousness and conscience, because a living and working religion is nothing other than a psychology of man's possible evolution whose methods praxis informs/educates/develops our cognitive possibilities.

Instead of that, we have fragments (and not the working fragments mind you) of religious teaching abstracted from their psychological work(s). http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+2%3A14-26&version=KJV

lol, welcome to the spot Gene. I see you've had some initiatory struggles, but don't leave feeling like Maureen Dowd after her first Sky Bar in the new and individual freedom improved Mile High.

Not quite sure what to make of that concentrated ugliness Ed, but Clive Barker is the cut creator for Aphex Twin nightmare http://youtu.be/kztkS1U6m4w

Lol, I took a look at some of his postings. He's thrilled about the new Mile High. Thinks these liberal states are nullifying federal law by passing marijuana legalization laws. Of course his comments completely miss the point about how the federal government could actually enforce those laws but choose not to. Which, of course, is in stark contrast to the feds coming down hard on good ole' Cliven Bundy.

I thought about this a little bit and it seems like the overall theme here is crowd sourcing is never original works but a collective of derived works to create something functional. This is how the American education system do not work but how India and China operates in terms of learning and creating innovation in their country. So let's go there and give some STEM credit points to the Americans that actually crowd sourced this character into development bringing together the best of works individuals derived from. I believe that is how education is suppose to work.

However, American education system believes in developing that one smart educated individual who dare not look at another student test question. As if individualism education is globally competitive...

Please name just one success model in your brain that "individuals" made in America - the last I check 100% of America and the rest of the world was due to some kind of collectivism. Do not confuse this statement with liberal diatribe, I'm just curious of your perspective of this so-called "John Wayne" individual you speak of and the real life model.

I have to see what CO's talking about if the treats are that good. She realized she was wearing green corduroys "what the fuck am I doing?"

Preachers want that money. Women that confront their egos have no time for TD Fakes "Woman, Thou art Loose" meetings. How simple minded would a Creflo Dollar sound to a person that takes faith seriously? They even have these cats mapped out in the Bible: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+11%3A39-52&version=KJV. It's right there and they still get paid. I suggest people abandon the enterprise and figure things out for themselves.

I for one am pleased that people are walking away from that fuckery. There's one group that stubbornly holds on. http://www.relevantmagazine.com/god/church/why-aren’t-black-millennials-leaving-church.
It's like the Jane Elliott seminars for me. So I'm cheering the non religious hitting back.
