vimeo | Fairewinds has fielded a number of questions regarding the removal of
the fuel rods from the spent fuel pool in Unit 4 at Fukushima Daiichi.
Today's video shows Arnie debunking TEPCO's animated film point by
point, and highlights the issues TEPCO will have removing the fuel rods.
TEPCO needs to be removed as the organization overseeing the cleanup of
the site prior to the removal of the fuel rods.

Now that the first fuel rod assemblies have been transferred from Reactor 4's spent fuel rod pool into the first storage cask, the likelihood that TEPCO will be replaced as the organization responsible for the process is less than zero. With the ever expanding Obamacare fiasco in the U.S. and on-going worldwide economic turmoil to deal with, neither the U.S. nor Western Europe has the political will or stomach for risking a 21st century-style "Boxer Incident" by forcefully intervening in Fukushima. We're simply all going to have to accept how Japan and TEPCO handle Fukushima, and adjust our lives accordingly in order to live with the consequences.
NASA's looking for plutonium. Irony.
