None. Depreciation and understanding it is critical. It is your insistence on accounting as the cure-all that deserves sarcasm and mockery.
Human cognitive errors can only be addressed through self-recognition of those errors followed with work to counter them. Calling a tool a solution is asinine. Each individual's Work to overcome those cognitive errors is the ONLY solution and there is no single aspect of that which is universally applicable (beyond the fact it is difficult).
