overseers not about to de-escalate a dayyum-thing anywhere...,

LRC |  I was made aware of the “Interim Report of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing” via an email in response to my post regarding recent incidents in Baltimore. The emailer suggested a false flag operation in Baltimore.

The president established this commission several months ago, in response to similar incidents that occurred in Ferguson, Missouri.  What is found in the report are dozens of recommendations and action items to involve the US Department of Justice further into local law enforcement, further consultations and studies, significant federal funding, etc. In other words, using events such as those in Baltimore as an opportunity for significant expansion of federal power and encroachment at the local level; and, if a false flag, even fomenting those events.

I am not in any position to make a statement regarding the false flag part of the discussion; however I found the report worthy of some interest.  It is this that I explore here.
What is the motive force behind this report?
Trust between law enforcement agencies and the people they protect and serve is essential in a democracy. It is key to the stability of our communities, the integrity of our criminal justice system, and the safe and effective delivery of policing services.
True, true and true.
In light of the recent events that have exposed rifts in the relationships between local police and the communities they protect and serve, on December 18, 2014, President Barack Obama signed an Executive Order establishing the Task Force on 21st Century Policing.
But to the observant, “recent events” were not necessary to bring this lack of trust to light.
In establishing the task force, the President spoke of the distrust that exists between too many police departments and too many communities—the sense that in a country where our basic principle is equality under the law, too many individuals, particularly young people of color, do not feel as if they are being treated fairly.
The report offers six “Pillars” and a recommendation for implementation of the entire program.  I will briefly introduce these.  Each “pillar” is followed by several recommendations and action items – none of which will solve the underlying problems; instead all will only expand the bureaucracy behind the problems – opportunities for hundreds of millions of dollars for consulting contracts, billions of dollars in funds transferred from the federal government to local agencies, and the pretense that something is being done.

In other words, fertile ground for a false flag event.  Or, maybe, just making lemonade out of lemons.
There is little to no mention of recommendations and action items that will most quickly and efficiently improve the situation, for example:
  • Eliminate all laws regarding victimless crimes;
  • Ensure everyone is equal under the law – having a badge confers no special privilege;
  • Eliminate minimum wage laws;
  • Eliminate federal and state programs that subsidize behavior destructive toward personal responsibility and the family as the fundamental building block of a civilized society.
Of course, each of these would reduce government power, so they won’t be found in the report (with one tepid exception).

Brother CNu:

BIG PICTURE QUESTION HERE FOR YOU.

If you know that the Entity that promises to make YOUR policing less oppressive of you is the very same Entity that is killing other people who look like you, and bombing their homes - IS IT POSSIBLE that the more local document is meant to APPEASE YOU, so that you don't assess their true character based upon these other more malicious actions?

OR it is more logical for us to look at the CONSUMER'S CHARACTER and note that his OWN SELFISH INTERESTS make him uninterested in the fate of these others, despite his claim of a DNA connection and a kinship to the "Motherland" upon which they live?

1) Can't help but to notice that all of the solutions were SECULAR and GOVERNMENT ORIENTED
2) The cascading network of functional family links - when cast wide enough can control for these cracks in the system. It is INSANE for us to now spend so much time on the distraction of "EQUALITY" which is drawing us away from the SOCIAL CONTROL EFFECTIVE OF the need for FABRIC STRENGTHENING of the family
3) No mention of the tradition of THE CHURCH in being first responders in providing social services. Sadly too many churches have shifted their direct services provisioning functions into POLITICAL ADVOCACY.

In the past we had many hospitals funded and founded by churches.
Today we see pastors participating in "Moral Mondays", sitting outside of the governor's office, demanding that he expand the poverty entitlement to capture more people up in Medicaid.

Maestro CNu,

After a day and a half with nothing but crickets on this post, I would appreciate reading your serious alternate proposal for whom should be our next POTUS.

I'll vote for Scott Walker before I vote for this c___.

Didn't the Yellow Emperor have a Jade Helm? I think he did.

So, in other words, you cannot offer a serious alternative—because I'm pretty sure that you would never go for any of the GOP stooges. That's too bad; I had really hoped for something more insightful.

lol, then next time, you take the initiative to make a good faith case in support of your default c___ GOTUS. I've indicated with a fair amount of content why I wouldn't have anything whatsoever to do with this despicable lying degenerate - why don't you explain to one and all assembled what you're able to salvage from her pantsuited runny pile that you're all fired up to go and vote for?

Joe Farah on WurldND nailed it,
"As Baltimore smolders in the wake of Ferguson, Trayvon Martin and unprovoked black mob attacks on non-blacks in cities across America, it’s time to consider the possibility that the promise of the civil rights movement of the 1960s has been betrayed. This year marks the 50th anniversary of what has become known as “The Moynihan Report,” actually titled in 1965 “The Negro Family: The Case for National Action,” an official publication of the U.S. Labor Department written by the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who later became a U.S. senator from New York.

Moynihan was a sociologist and Democrat who focused on the root causes of black poverty and concluded that the destruction of the nuclear family was at the heart of the problem. He suggested that neither economic nor political equality could ever be achieved without addressing the advantage of intact families with both mothers and fathers present in the home....

What Moynihan discovered has still not been acknowledged by the very people most adversely affected by the problem: Rates of black male unemployment and welfare enrollment – instead of running parallel as they always had – started to diverge in 1962 in a way that would come to be called “Moynihan’s scissors.”

In 1965 Moynihan foresaw the coming destruction of the black family because the black o.u.t-of-w.e.d.lock birth rate was 25 percent. Americans were shocked by that statistic 50 years ago. But today the number is over 72 percent among blacks, more than 53 percent among Hispanics and more than 29 percent among whites. By contrast, in 1965, o.u.t-of-w.e.d.lock births among white Americans was at 3.1 percent. Not only has the black family been destroyed, as Moynihan predicted, so has the whole of the American family.....

Moynihan’s report concluded that the structure of family life in the black community constituted a 'tangle of pathology … capable of perpetuating itself without assistance from the white world,' and that 'at the heart of the deterioration of the fabric of Negro society is the deterioration of the Negro family. It is the fundamental source of the weakness of the Negro community at the present time.' Further, the report argued that the matriarchal structure of black culture weakened the ability of black men to function as authority figures.

He concluded in his report: 'The steady expansion of welfare programs can be taken as a measure of the steady disintegration of the Negro family structure over the past generation in the United States.'.... expansion of welfare programs continued unabated – in fact they exploded exponentially as did the breakdown of the black family and entirety of the American family.......

What are the chances America will make an effort to put the American family back together at the very moment the national dialogue obsesses over the urgent need for “same-sex marriage”?

Slim to none. But there are people making just that last-ditch case....Phyllis Schlafly has been beating this drum on the national stage since the 1960s. Her newest book, “Who Killed the American Family?” is there for us to read and embrace. Of course, nobody can force Americans to look reality in the eye and accept it. Many Americans today weren’t around 50 years ago to remember 'the good old days,' and they were better for nearly everyone – black or white......."
BD was around, and remembers it...

FYI, he didn't give this to me to post. He posted and I reposted. As for those other issues, I suppose you'll just have to join Facebook and "friend" him.

lol, the only thing Joe Farah nailed is his continuing "idiot with a large idiocracy" bona fides. It has been disheartening to see some commentators still writing as if
poverty were simply a matter of values, as if the poor just
mysteriously make bad choices and all would be well if they adopted
middle-class values. Maybe, just maybe, that was a sustainable argument
four decades ago, but at this point it should be obvious that
middle-class values only flourish in an economy that offers
middle-class jobs.

The great sociologist William Julius Wilson argued long ago that
widely-decried social changes among blacks, like the decline of
traditional families, were actually caused by the disappearance of
well-paying jobs in inner cities. His argument contained an implicit
prediction: if other racial groups were to face a similar loss of job
opportunity, their behavior would change in similar ways.

And so it has proved. Lagging wages — actually declining in real terms
for half of working men — and work instability have been followed by
sharp declines in marriage, rising births out of wedlock, and more.

As Isabel Sawhill of the Brookings Institution writes: “Blacks have
faced, and will continue to face, unique challenges. But when we look
for the reasons why less skilled blacks are failing to marry and join
the middle class, it is largely for the same reasons that marriage and
a middle-class lifestyle is eluding a growing number of whites as well.”

So it is, as I said, disheartening still to see commentators suggesting
that the poor are causing their own poverty, and could easily escape if
only they acted like members of the upper middle class.

Pretty much the snarky, less-than-helpful reaction I expected. Whatever.

So, assuming that HRC is the Democratic nominee, what will you do? As I stated previously, given your long anti-Koch-stooge rhetorical history, I'm pretty sure you will not be voting for Ted/Jeb/Rand/ Marco/Carly/Ben/whoever. So, what's your plan—not vote at all (perhaps as a none-of-the-above protest or whatever)? Great, so now all of the rednecks and faux-news-watching ditto-heads get to decide and we end up with one of the Koch-heads. That's your solution? Really?

I'm not asking this to get under your apparently thin skin, dude, I'm asking because, although I agree with some of the reasons why you don't like Hillary (and no, I am not "all fired up to go and vote for" her as you asserted), the other choices are far worse. Take this recent op-ed, for example. Do you have a genuinely better idea?

Electoral options in our country have frequently been a "lesser of two evils" choice, and the 2016 presidential selection is likely to be the same. As you have often noted, BHO has at times been a disappointment. Would you really rather have had McCain or Romney? Didn't think so. Elon's not running; like most of the truly intelligent people around, he has better things to do than get involved in politics. That's why we keep ending up with a choice between distasteful stooges.

Unfortunately, politics is a dirty business, and it's far easier to identify mistakes and point out flaws than it is to see the same in the context of a bigger picture. But then I'm not telling you something that you don't already know.

given your long anti-Koch-stooge rhetorical history

That search bar in the upper left corner of a blogger comes in useful at times like these. Search every permutation of Koch, and you will find that over the past nine years it doesn't hold a candle to the deep and diverse disdain expressed for the Clintons. While I don't care for the JBS underpinnings of the Kochtupus, I grew up in the midst of all of that and am no worse for the wear. OTOH - I've witnessed the public sector at the federal and municipal levels qualitatively wither under the degenerative influences unleashed by the Clintons. I've witnessed the unprecedented and beyond Nixonian levels of mistrust of government unleashed under the Clintons.

As we step piecewise back through the Clintons as governors, campaigners, and CiC - we find the unmistakeable and odoriferous exploitation of white racial animus and 2nd/3rd line incompetence and self-servingness as cornerstones of Clintonian political strategery both domestically and abroad. Whatever it is that confederate Bubba Clinton is up to in Africa, it's bound to be yet another sheer moral horror modeled after the political hokum that motherfucker has perpetrated all across the U.S.

Take this recent op-ed, for example.

Rand Paul. The only candidate on-deck who wouldn't fuck up the bold work of the administration/Moniz to normalize relations with Iran. The only candidate on deck who won't fuck up Cuba, and the only candidate on deck who won't attempt to federally dial back the state-level progress made over the last few years against prohibition.

Would you really vote for that koch-head Walker

If he's all that's left after the Republican primary I will vote for Scott Walker in preference to the far-greater evil of the GOTUS http://subrealism.blogspot.com/2015/04/gotus.html
