The ONLY reason I put that picture up there was because it featured a smug-mugging Obama in a black cowboy hat.

The maestro is marinating a gestalt in which we compare and contrast the smug-mugging Obama with that white cowboy hat wearing zip coon Sheriff David Clarke from Milwaukee County. With this...Great points on Obama's performance. With this we can finally put to sleep the idea that you are above partisanship. I have been around long enough to know that if someone posted a little bulletin like that for a republican president, you would have not let that go without noting. various issues with the proclamations.

First off. 10.3 million jobs is nice, and its better than losing jobs however, low wage jobs is accounting for around 45% of those jobs; and temporary employment is another 10% of those jobs. The labor market has 2.5 million more people working part time than in 2007. If this was a republican job bragging post about job creation you would have easily noted the same things. Now with that great increase, 10 million jobs, and with the population increase in that time, the economy has been able to get the work force participation for the age group 25-54 up to 76.8%, its still down from the 80% pre recession but better than the 75.2% participation rate at its lowest point in late 2010 (about 1.5 years after passing the stimulus) and the lowest since both men and women have been fully in the work force.

Whatever the claim is for how many jobs Obama created, it is managing to keep people floating, they are exchanging there medium and high paying jobs for low paying jobs or not getting a job. And when we include the whole work force the participation fell below 63% in late 2013 had one little peak above 63% in early 2014 and has remained below 63% since then. It had been as high as 66% in 2008, the additional 10 million jobs still watched the total participation rate fall, but possibly when talking about the whole force compared to the 25-54 age group there could be population aging demographics involved.

Its great to see the deficit go down, and some of that has to do with less cost of the war, and economic growth of course increases government income, along with not paying out stimulus package money and TARP. And finally of course was the sequester. When all those factors are combined we get a deficit that is cut in half from Obama's highest deficits and just a couple hundred billion more than when he took office, which again is moving in the right direction. Again pretty good news.

Finally, accomplishment of 10 million people enrolling in insurance is good news, and its true the republicans wanted to accomplish this other ways. So they were dragged along to this plan which claimed it was going to insure the 40 million who are uninsured. So its positive it has insured 10 million I guess, the hesitation to proclaim this as a success is that it is probably pretty clear we could have insured 10 million by less expensive methods than this one which has a projected cost of 2 trillion for the government over the next 10 years, plus whatever the premium increases will finally be for each person after Obamacare is fully implemented.kennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11539837.post-43090480492659163982015-02-20T06:39:07.046-06:002015-02-20T06:39:07.046-06:00is this the Leung?
