It's the "Keep your government hands off my Medicare" phenomena writ large: a society of people who subsist on mutual aid and redistributive policies who've been conned (and conned themselves) into thinking that they are rugged individualists and that everyone else is a parasite. It is disingenuous to Lump_Together benefits for useless parasites (e.g., food stamps, welfare, subsidized housing. etc) with those benefits for folks who actually contributed to the economy and security of the country (mortgage deductions, G.I. bill, Veterans Benefits, traditional Social Security and Medicare). The latter are rewards for having Done_Good.
Whole purpose of such outrageous Lumping_Together is to make IQ-75 LOOZer parasitic beneficiaries feel unjustifiably less worthless.....
